Group’s ‘Information Morning’
a great success
The Community Centre at Glyn Ceiriog was buzzing with interest on 24 May when the Glyn Valley Tramway Group held an ‘Information Morning’ for local residents.
Members of the Group had travelled from all over the UK to attend the Group’s AGM in the afternoon, and joined residents from the Valley to hear from Group committee members more about progress towards a Heritage & Interpretation Centre in the old Tramway engine shed at Glyn Ceiriog, together with a Tramway Heritage Trail and replica steam tramway.
On display were 16mm scale models of a complete GVT train, and a large scale replica of one of the two GVT Brake Vans, together with numerous photographs and artefacts.
Also on hand was local historian and GVTG Archivist, John Milner, signing copies of his new book “Slates from Glyn Ceiriog”.
