The Glyn Valley Tramway Group is a voluntary organisation run by and for its members. It aims to fulfil a conservation and education remit by research, acquisition, restoration, replication and publication.
With its focus in Glyn Ceiriog, North East Wales, the Group aims to re-create a “Glyn Valley Tramway Experience” on former GVT property, comprising a Heritage & Interpretation Centre together with a working section of replica Tramway constructed to the GVT’s unique 2 ft 4½ in gauge.
The Group is also working on developing a Tramway Heritage Trail down the entire Ceiriog Valley, designed to identify and interpret significant remnants both of the Tramway itself and of the Valley Industries that it served.
The Group has FIVE TRUSTEES and is managed by a MANAGING COMMITTEE elected by the Members.
Membership of the Group is open to all who support the Group’s aims.
